It is once again time to tap the maple trees. Yes, Greg is anxious with this warm weather we have been having. Saturday, February 25, 2012 will be the day to tap the trees. They will be starting around noon and we will finish the day with a dinner at Autumn’s. All are welcome to join the fun. Kathy has to work, so bring food and drink if you need it!
It’s that time of year again! Maple season 2012 is upon us. Wow! What a crazy winter – hardly any cold temperatures or snow. We are all wondering what that is going to do to the sap this year! Fear not – there is plenty of time yet to make enough syrup to get us through the year. We were scheduled to tap on March 3, 2012. But, Greg is chomping to tap next weekend. The weather has him nervous that we might miss a run. Some of the farmers that tap have already had their first run – about 400 gallons for a large operation. We will see what the weather, and the season, will bring to Adams Maple Mountain for 2012! Check back for updates and reports – let the season be blessed!
